Descendants of the First Nations Indigenous peoples have lost many ties to their traditions and cultures through colonization and forced assimilation. Therefore, the Native Circle of Newaygo County is dedicated to awakening the blood memory of Indigenous people, preserving our various First Nation’s cultures and traditions through education and learning from Indigenous people’s histories, experiences and perspectives.
